COVID -19 UPDATE
To our valued patients,
The Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation continues to evolve rapidly. We are monitoring these changes daily, and we will continue to offer updates as they become available.
Per the CDC guidelines effective IMMEDIATELY Albuquerque Vision Care must stop all routine vision eyecare services for the next several weeks. Our office cannot accept walk-in patients for any reason.
Routine services include:
- Routine exams for glasses and contacts
- Optical orders
- Optical repairs and adjustments
- All non essential eye care related services
All patients who have scheduled routine appointments during the effected time frame will be notified about their appointment cancellations.
During this time we are encouraging patients that have new urgent eye issues to contact our office. We have systems available to offerTeleMed appointments for urgent eye issues only, and we will continue to offer those as long as we are able to.
Thank you for your continued understanding and patience.
Stay healthy and safe!
Albuquerque Vision Care & Advanced Eyewear Doctors and Staff
Albuquerque Vision Care patients and families,
We are monitoring closely and diligently the evolving COVID-19 (“Coronavirus”) pandemic and the rapidly changing government responses as they happen. As healthcare providers, we intend to be here for you so long as the situation allows. Signs and symptoms in the eyes may be some of the earliest COVID-19 manifestations.
For the protection of all of our patients and staff, we are following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations for outpatient healthcare facilities including universal precautions against infection. We are doing everything possible to mitigate the risk of developing any illness, while visiting our office. These precautions and policies have been in force at our clinic even before this current challenge, though we have reinforced and amplified these efforts.
If you have experienced fever, cough, shortness of breath, or any other flu-like symptoms within the past 72 hours, or you have traveled to an infected area within the past 14 days, please call our office to reschedule your appointment.
You may be at higher risk of COVID-19-related complications if you are elderly, have underlying medical conditions (heart disease, diabetes, lung disease) or are at higher risk for complications from respiratory diseases, such as pregnant women.
We are here for you. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Drs. Berry, Dunn, Fergeson, and Vise and your Albuquerque Vision Care team
